Allow Skype Permission On A Blackberry

Skype Mobile is available only on certain models of the BlackBerry.

Since its launch in 2003, the online communication service Skype has become very popular. Initially Skype users were limited to using the application on a computer, but now Skype Mobile enables them to use the service on mobile devices as well. BlackBerry users can download the Skype application and place free calls to others using their existing data connection or a Wi-Fi connection. Before using Skype, BlackBerry users must adjust the settings for the application to function on the device.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" key on the BlackBerry and select Options.

2. Click Advanced Options and scroll down to Applications. Click the trackball.

3. Scroll down to Skype and press the "Menu" key. Select Edit Permissions.

4. Click the Connections, Interactions and User Data fields to change each to Allow. Press the "Menu" key and click "Save."

5. Press the "End" key to exit the settings and access the home screen.
