Put Pictures On A Sd Card From Your Computer

Put Pictures on a SD Card From Your Computer

Secure digital (SD) is one of the easiest ways to transfer information from one electronic device to another. The SD Card Association has set standards that all SD card manufacturers adhere to, so that operations between cameras, mobile phones, computers and all other electronics with the capability can transfer photos, music and any other type of electronic file you can imagine.

Instructions

1. Boot or turn on your computer. Open your folder that contains the pictures, using your file manager program.

2. Insert the SD into the SD card reader. Most new computers have an SD card reader slot built into the computer. Older computers may need to utilize a USB card reader adapter, available from stores selling accessories for computers. Just plug in the adapter, then the SD card. Computers automatically recognize the SD card and give you a list of options for what you want to do. Select the option for "View Files" on your PC.

3. Set the two open windows next to each other. You can now select the pictures you want to transfer and drag and drop them onto the SD card. Another option is to copy the pictures from one location, and then paste them to the proper location on the SD card. Either option will leave the original picture where it was located. It will just make a copy onto the SD card.

4. Close both windows on your computer. To be able to safely eject the SD card from the computer, you will need to close it through the computer first. To do this on a PC, look for the icon near the clock and click on it. It will bring up the option to remove the SD card. If the icon is not available, you can also go to "Start," then "My Computer," then right click on the SD card. This will bring up a menu where you can safely remove the card. When you receive the "safe to remove" notification, it is okay to remove the SD card from the reader.
