Play An Avi On A Nokia N73

The Nokia N73 does not support native AVI playback. You can only play AVI videos on your N73 after you convert them to a format that is compatible with your phone. The N73 requires that the video file be encoded with specific resolution, frame rate and codec settings. With the right settings, you can watch any AVI video on your N73 phone.

Instructions

Settings to Use

1. Set your video codec to MPEG-4.

2. Set your resolution to 352 x 288.

3. Set your frame rate at 15 frames per second.

4. Set your audio to AAC, with a bitrate of 128 kb/s and sample rate of 44100.

Software to Try

5. Check out Xilisoft Video converter. This application has presets called "profiles" that self-adjust the conversion settings to automatically work with your device. After you enter the settings from section 1, you can save them as a profile so that you always have your custom settings ready at a moment's notice.

6. Give Media-Convert a try. This free online service allows you to upload your AVI to their website and let them take care of converting your video. All you have to do is enter the right settings and you will be able to download your converter video from their website.

7. Take a look at Movavi. This site is similar to Media-Convert but has a better layout for less computer-savvy users. Make sure you use the "Advanced" button in the "select an output format" box so that you can set all the conversion properties listed in section 1.
