Install Java Applications To A Samsung Sgh A707

You can download and install a variety of Java applications on your SGH-A707.

The Samsung Sync (SGH-A707) phone supports a variety of file types to let you enjoy music, video and games on the go. While the Sync is designed to run Java-based applications, Sync phones sold and serviced by AT&T are configured to prevent the transfer of Java files directly to the phone via USB cable or Bluetooth connection. Instead, you must download Java applications to install through a dedicated AT&T service or a third-party website. Fortunately, both options offer convenient access to a wide variety of Java applications.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" soft key while your Sync is in idle mode. Select "MEdia Net."

2. Choose the "Shop Games" or "Shop Applications" option to view Java-based games or applications available for purchase and download.

3. Choose a category, such as "New Arrivals," or select the option to search for a specific Java application by name.

4. Browse the available Java applications and select one to learn more about it, including a description and any cost to download and install it.

5. Select "Buy Now" to purchase and download the application, or navigate back to the category menu to explore more applications.

6. Quit the MEdia Net application by pressing the disconnect/end call button.

7. Locate the new Java application by pressing the "Menu" soft key, selecting "My Stuff" and selecting the "Games" or "Applications" folder, where the application should be placed automatically after downloading.

8. Select and open the new application to finish the installation process and run it for the first time.
