Subscribe To Packet Data On A Nokia 5300

The Nokia 5300 XpressMusic cell phone supports General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) through which you can access the Internet on your phone. To activate this service, you have to get your network provider's assistance since GPRS is a network-enabled feature. GPRS activation doesn't cost anything; however, once you start accessing the Web, you will most likely be charged an additional fee for your new data plan.

Instructions

1. Go to "Menu" on your Nokia 5300 XpressMusic.

2. Select "Settings."

3. Choose "Connectivity" from the drop-down list.

4. Select the option "Packet Data."

5. Navigate to "Packet data conn."

6. Select the option "Always online."

7. Call the customer service department of your cellular network provider. Tell the customer service representative your account name/number, and ask him to activate GPRS on your account. Once the phone receives the GPRS activation settings, it will automatically update.

8. Go to "Menu" > "Web" and enter a website address to open it. Your phone will then load that site on the phone.
