Pair My Headset With The Ps3

Your old Bluetooth headset is compatible with a PS3.

You can pair any Bluetooth headset or headset/microphone with a PlayStation 3 (PS3) system. If you have an extra Bluetooth headset that you used for a cell phone, that device will work with the system. You do not have to purchase the Sony headset. Before you pair the device with the system, it should be fully charged. It typically takes two hours to reach a full charge. When it is charged, you can connect to it and chat online with friends and strangers across the world in chatrooms and multiplayer online games.

Instructions

1. Turn on your PS3 and one PS3 controller.

2. Select "Settings."

3. Open "Accessory Settings."

4. Choose "Register Bluetooth Device."

5. Select "Register Headset/Microphone/Headphones" in the Bluetooth options.

6. Set your headset into pairing mode. Typically you press the large outer button until the LED light turns on.

7. Choose "Start Scanning" on the PS3.

8. Select the headset from the list of Bluetooth devices that appears.

9. Enter the headset pairing code, which is "0000."

10. Open "Audio Device Settings" under "Settings." Select "Accessory Settings" from the main menu.
