Connect A Verizon Bluetooth

Connect your Verizon Bluetooth device with ease

Verizon Wireless offers Bluetooth devices that pair easily with cellular phones, allowing you to speak and listen hands-free. The popularity of Bluetooth devices is on the rise, perhaps because in many states there are driving restrictions on using handheld cellular devices. Fortunately most phones are compatible with Bluetooth devices making the process easy to do. With a little synchronization between both devices, your Bluetooth headset will work in place of your handheld device.

Instructions

Connecting Your Verizon Bluetooth Device

1. Power on the cellular phone that will be linked with the Verizon Bluetooth device. Navigate to the "Settings" menu. Scroll to the "Bluetooth" option and select it. Select the "Add Bluetooth Device" or "Find New Devices" option. Your cellular phone will begin looking for a Bluetooth signal for your Bluetooth device.

2. Press the central button on the Bluetooth device and continue to hold the button while your device powers on. Wait for the device's light to blink a single time before releasing. Hold the button down once again for your phone to begin locating the device. Wait for the Bluetooth device's light to blink repeatedly. Release the button. Press the central button on the Bluetooth device again to pair it with your cellular phone.

3. Locate your cellular phone's "Bluetooth" menu once again. Select "Add Device" from the "Bluetooth" menu. Permit your cellular phone a minute to scan for your external Bluetooth device and pair it with your cellular phone. Enter the password for your Bluetooth device if prompted to do so. The password is usually in your Bluetooth device manual.

4. Confirm the pairing of your cellular phone with your Bluetooth device by selecting "Yes" when prompted. Press the central button on your Bluetooth device when receiving a call to answer, and press it again to end the phone call.
