Unlock A Verizon Cell

This security feature prevents you from making calls.

Verizon phones come with an added security feature. This feature prevents other users from making calls and using the other features on your cell phone. If your phone's lock is on, you can still receive calls and make 911 calls. To unlock your Verizon cell phone, you need to find the screen to enter your unlock code. Even though each phone is different, the process is the same for each phone. It only takes a few quick minutes to unlock your phone. In no time, you will be making calls again.

Instructions

1. Press the center button marked "OK" or "Menu." This should bring up your phone's main menu.

2. Press the right arrow to move to "Settings and Tools." Press the "OK" button in the middle of your phone. This should bring up the menu for that selection.

3. Scroll down until you see "Phone Settings." Highlight it and press "OK."

4. Look for the selection marked "Security." Press "OK" to enter it. Enter your security code, which is the last four digits of your phone number.

5. Press the "OK" button. Select the option that says "Unlock." Move your cursor and press the center button. Press "OK." Now you have unlocked your phone.
