Unlock a Nokia N73
Unlocking your Nokia N73 can be achieved using one of the many online services. All you need is to provide the unlocking company with your cell phone's IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identification) number. IMEI number is just like your handset's ID number, which is used for creating an unlock code. Every Nokia N73 model has a unique IMEI number and thus its own unlock code.
Instructions
1. Remove the back cover of your Nokia N73. Take out the battery and check the sticker underneath to find the "IMEI" number. If you are unable to find this number there, simply type *#06# on your keypad and the number will appear on the screen.
2. Visit an unlocking website that provides codes for Nokia N73. Some websites are mentioned in the Resources section below.
3. Enter your cell phone's IMEI number along with the manufacturer and model number on the website. Also, provide your payment details (credit card information). You will receive the unlock code along with instructions in your email in 5 to 10 business days.
4. Power off the phone and take out the existing SIM card. Power it on again and enter the unlock code provided by the website. You will see the message "SIM Restriction Off" on the screen. The phone will then be unlocked.
