Get My Samsung 610 Bluetooth To Operate With My Handsfree Device

Pair a Samsung m610 with a hands-free device.

The Samsung m610 is a cellular phone available on the Sprint wireless network. Features of the Samsung m610 include a 2.0 megapixel camera, a video player, a music player and Bluetooth connectivity. Bluetooth connectivity allows users to operate the phone with hands-free devices. The Samsung m610 and hands-free device must be paired before being used together.

Instructions

1. Place the hands-free device in pairing mode. For Bluetooth headsets, this is usually accomplished by pressing and holding the "Call" button until a status light indicates pairing mode is enabled. See your hands-free device's manual for specific instructions to enable pairing mode.

2. Select "Menu" from the Samsung m610's home screen.

3. Select "Tools" and choose "Bluetooth."

4. Select "Add New" and "Search" from the Bluetooth menu. This prompts the phone to search for nearby Bluetooth-enabled devices in pairing mode.

5. Choose your hands-free device from the list displayed and select "Add to list."

6. Enter the passkey for your hands-free device when prompted and press the "Menu/OK" key. The default passkey for most headsets is "0000." See your hands-free device's manual for its default passkey.

7. Enter a name for your hands-free device and select "Done" to save changes and exit the pairing screen.

8. Choose your hands-free device from the list of available devices and select "Connect." A "Connection Successful" message is displayed once the phone and hands-free device are ready for use.
