An iPod Touch, otherwise known as an iTouch, is a portable media player developed by Apple that has a multi-touch graphical user interface. A built-in security feature of the iTouch prevents transferring files from the device to a PC. It is, however, possible to purchase third-party file transfer software that has the ability to transfer files from your iTouch to a PC.
Instructions
1. Download and install a third-party transfer application on your PC. Examples include imToo, CopyToy and Pod to PC.
2. Open the transfer application on your PC.
3. Attach the data cable to the port located at the bottom of your iTouch device. Connect the other end of the data cable to an available USB port on your computer.
4. Select your iTouch from within the transfer application.
5. Select the files you want to transfer from your iTouch to your PC. It is possible to transfer a single file or multiple files.
6. Click the "Sync" or "Transfer" button to complete the transfer process and send the files to your PC.
