Your Name To Phone Books

You can add your name or the name of your business to the phone book by ordering landline phone service.

Phone books list names, addresses and phone numbers so that listed residents can be contacted. Landlines for residential and business customers are listed in the white pages of the phone book and sorted alphabetically by last name or the name of the business. Many phone companies automatically create a listing for new customers in the white pages when new service is ordered. You can add your name or your business name to the phone book easily through your phone service provider.

Instructions

1. Contact a phone service provider in your area to set activate a landline account for your home or business.

2. Verify that your phone number will be listed in the white pages of the local phone book and that your information is correct.

3. Inquire when a new phone book will be published and delivered. Confirm that your listing will be displayed in the next edition.

4. Check your new phone book to ensure that your phone number has been added and that name and number are displayed accurately.

5. Contact your phone service provider if the listing requires any corrections. You will need to wait until an updated phone book is published to view the revised listing.

6. Visit the AT&T Yellow Pages website to purchase advertising space or a listing to have your business name added to the yellow pages of the phone book. The business name, phone number and any other information you include in your ad will be displayed.
