Unlock the Nokia E50 MMC Memory Card
Some Nokia E50 users have found that after attempting to access the memory in their phone's MMC (or Multimedia Card), they have been locked out or prompted to enter a password. If this has happened to you, and you don't remember setting your password, don't worry. Nokia E50 phones come with the password automatically installed on them--and there is a way to bypass this without formatting the phone (which can permanently delete anything you have stored on the card or the phone). In just a few minutes, you can easily unlock the MMC memory card and access anything you have stored on it.
Instructions
Enabling Remote Lock
1. Power on your Nokia E50 phone and navigate to the home screen.
2. Open the main menu and select "Tools."
3. Select "Settings" from the "Tools" menu.
4. Click the "Security" icon, followed by the "Phone and SIM" option.
5. Find the "Allow Remote Unlock" option, and make sure it's turned on.
Resetting MMC Password
6. Create a password, at least five characters long, when prompted by the screen that says "Enter New Remote Lock Message." Write this password down, because it will also double as your MMC password.
7. Navigate back to your phone's home screen.
8. Try to access anything in your phone's memory card (pictures, text messages, and so on) by clicking "Options" and then "Gallery" or "Messages" until you run into the screen that prompts you to enter an unlock code.
9. Enter the code that you created in a previous step (the "New Remote Lock Message"), and you should be able to access your phone's memory card.
