Mobile Nokia 72 Secret Tips

The Nokia E72 is a bar-shaped mobile phone with a full QWERTY keyboard. The E72 is an unlocked GSM phone, so it was not released as part of a particular wireless carrier's line. The phone came out in 2009 and requires a SIM card to make calls or send messages. The E72 functions on the 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 GSM frequencies.

Screen Options

Select "Control Panel" and pick "Modes" from the main menu. Click on "Home Screen Applications" to choose everything that will appear on the main display screen. From "Control Panel," scroll to "Themes" to make more changes. Select "Menu View" to alter the look of the menu and "Standby" to alter the home screen's look. "Call Image" controls what the screen looks like when you are getting an incoming call. "General" unifies all the themes for the functions of the phone.

Editing Photos

You can edit your photo files to suit your preferences. Pick "Options" from the main menu. Select "Details" and scroll down to "View and Edit." Choose "Description" to briefly enter information about a photo. "Albums" shows you where the photo is saved and lets you move it, if you want. Select "Resolution" to make images appear sharper or duller. The higher the resolution, the better the photo will look. Choose "Tags" to list the people in a photo.

Security

Set up a basic lock code for the phone once you hit the "On/Off" button and scroll to "Lock Phone." The code is set to "12345" to begin with, though it can be changed. From the main menu, go to "Control Panel," select "Settings" and pick "General." Scroll to "Security" and then select "Phone and SIM Card." To change the code, type the original lock code in and then enter a new one twice. The new code has to be four digits or more.

Location

The Nokia E72 has a map feature so you can tell where you are at all times. From the main menu, go to "Maps" and pick "My Position." Choose "Map" if you want a standard map view or "Satellite" to see the area in detail. "Terrain" shows all of the land forms on the map. From the "Maps" screen, choose "My Position" and select "5" to use the phone's compass.
