Install The Garmin Xt Gps Application

Install Garmin XT on your mobile device from Garmin's website.

Garmin's XT mobile application gives you access to Garmin's standalone interface on your mobile device. Featuring up-to-the-minute traffic and weather data, support for saving and sharing your location and a database of landmark locations throughout North America, the Garmin XT functions through an SD card inserted into your phone. Installing the basemap onto an SD card for your mobile can be done directly through Garmin's website.

Instructions

1. Plug your device into your computer using the USB cable that came with the unit. Open ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center and allow the program to run a synchronization.

2. Insert an SD card into your Windows Mobile Device. Garmin recommends that you use an SD card that is at least 256 megabytes.

3. Go online to Garmin's download page for Garmin Mobile XT and click "Download." Save the file to your desktop. (See References)

4. Double-click the EXE file you downloaded from Garmin's website. Follow the prompts provided by the installation wizard. Garmin Mobile XT will automatically transfer the information to the SD device in your Windows Mobile device. Click "OK" to finalize the process and boot the basemap onto the SD card.
